Wednesday Night Fellowship

Wednesday Night Fellowship gives us the opportunity to be family. God places us in community to be family for one another and we need time to eat, share, and learn together. This time of sharing begins with a catered meal at 5:45 followed by spiritual growth and faith-building activities for adults, youth, and children (Kid’s CLUBS) at 6:30. Two six-week series are held each year. During Lent and Advent Seasons

Congregational Care

We offer many opportunities to become involved in the work and ministry of Christ. Below are a few of the ways that you can serve as a volunteer.

Stephen Ministries
Stephen Ministry is based on the belief that all Christians are ministers, and people with special gifts for caring ministry are called to use those gifts to bring Christ’s love to people in need. We have many needs for care in our congregation and community: people experiencing divorce, grief, a terminal illness, loss of a job, relocation, an empty nest, retirement, hospitalization, loneliness and many other stresses and challenges. Often people with needs suffer silently or do not request or receive the level of care they really need. The Stephen Ministry program significantly expands the amount of ongoing care First Presbyterian Church can offer by equipping and organizing members to provide Christian care. This program is not limited to members of First Presbyterian Church. If you or someone you know might benefit from the Stephen Ministry, please contact the church office. (751-2040). Presbyterian Women
Presbyterian Women meet the first Tuesday of each month for study, service, and fellowship. Service projects benefit local missions and those of the Presbytery.

Congregational Care and Concern
There is a broad level of caring among the members of the Presbyterian Church of Springdale. Our members help each other in times of crisis and trouble as well as celebrating with them in times of joy.

Prayer Chain
When members and friends of our congregation experience illness, the loss of a loved one, or other difficult circumstances, many in our congregation have committed to pray on their behalf.

Pastor’s Masters
Each year in the fall, First Presbyterian hosts a golf tournament at one of the area golf courses. The tournament is open to all members, visitors and friends of First Presbyterian Church and is open to golfers of all ages and skill levels.

Trunk or Treat
“Trunk or Treaters” fill the church parking lot each Halloween, and members compete to present the best costumes and the best decorated trunks.

Easter Egg Hunt

An Easter Egg hunt is held each year for preschool and elementary-age children. Dates will be posted closer to Easter.

Meal Train

Meal Train is a way to provide a meal for someone with an acute need. It’s not only easy to use; it’s rewarding to help someone at FPC know that our congregation cares!

We are called together by our Faith in Jesus Christ to Worship, Study and Serve
