Service and Mission:

Springdale Meals on Wheels - First Presbyterian supports the Meals on Wheels program operated by the Springdale Senior Center financially and with volunteer drivers.

Habitat for Humanity - First Presbyterian began its support of Habitat for Humanity through the Apostles Build many years ago. That support has continued through Habitat’s building of fifty-four homes in Washington County.  Habitat Website

Foster Families:  Our church provides spiritual, emotional and financial support to families in need within our local community.  Recipients of this support are selected annually from the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas.  Single Parent Scholarship Website

Christians United Pantry (C.U.P.)  - Members of FPC provide monthly financial support and weekly labor to support C.U.P. in its mission to provide food for the hungry in Northwest Arkansas.  CUP on Facebook

United Campus Ministry -  Volunteer hours, financial support, and lots of food are provided as UCM ministers to the spiritual needs and physical needs of University of Arkansas students.  UCM Website

Faith in Action - provides homebound seniors with free non-medical services to help promote their independence, dignity, and quality of life. Faith in Action Website

Children’s Safety Center -  empowers children to overcome abuse and begin to trust, hope, and heal. . Childrens Safety Center Website

Springdale Schools Social Services - The church provides funds to assist families with a portion of expenses for school supplies, clothing, and medical and dental care through the Springdale Public Schools.

Community Clinic - believes that quality comprehensive health care should be available to everyone regardless of their ability to pay and offers all services at a cost that is appropriate to each patient’s financial situation. Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services - has a mission of sharing Christ’s healing love with children, youth, and families in crisis. In addition to financial gifts, our congregation enjoys a Christmas in July celebration annually where gifts are brought for the children and youth residing at Vera Lloyd.  Vera Lloyd Website

For 2018, the church has chosen to support the following area agencies working to meet the needs of children and seniors.

The congregation of the First Presbyterian Church of Springdale provides financial support through our annual church budget and special offerings to many local, national, and international ministries working to feed the hungry, house the homeless, clothe and educate the needy, support the chronically ill, and spread the Good News.  

Samaritan Fridays weekly from 9:30-11:00 A.M. Applications are accepted for assistance with gasoline, food, and referrals to other agencies and programs.
